Are you saying that if an ibond is paying 9.62%, that a person could buy in Oct of 2022 and still get the 9.62% for ANOTHER 6 months? What happened to the 6.89%, which is the current rate until end of April 2023? I bought in May of 2022, earning 9.62% for 6 months. Will I earn 9.62% for an additional 6 months, Nov thru Apr of 2023? I thought that the new rate would commence on Nov 1 to everybody, automatically. (BTW, why is the US Treasury shorting me $4.50 interest on a $10,000 deposit? I sent this note… Read more »
